If you're just a wrestling fan, WWE has never been the best option. WCW, NJPW, ECW, TNA, and now AEW were all superior from a pure wrestling standpoint.
Where WWE succeeds is that they're much better businessmen than all the other companies, they're amazing at marketing, and they do "sports entertainment variety show" that attracts people who don't even like wrestling better than anyone.
