Nobody is "prepping" at all, you're here implying anyone who learns how to hunt and kill animals is trying to go back to a life of being a hunter-gatherer. Have you ever considered that there might be a time in your life where you MUST kill an animal? Maybe not to eat, but if you're in a position where you live near boars and 300+lbs animals that encroach on your property regularly you are forced to kill animals. Have you ever even had to kill rats with rat poison or kill fish?
Even in the case of hunting for food it's infinitely better to know how to hunt, kill and butcher animals for meat over relying on supermarkets and doordash to feed your dumb ass. And no I'm not a tough guy who dresses up in camo, I don't enjoy killing animals and I never want to.
