I've been trying to give joshi a chance recently but I am not impressed with most modern events I've seen so far. Most of these girls are nowhere near Jaguar Yokota, Chigusa Nagayo or Lioness Asuka in the ring. I know that a lot of wrestlers were just better in the past, but the way these people talk about it you'd think joshi was better than ever or something.
Can someone with some taste point me to who it is nowadays in joshi that can have good womens matches like Yokota did, or even Kana/Asuka who still has good matches in WWE?
