This man is going to have the last real championship reign in decades. Even if his reign continues for another 366 days, there is no way it will be extended past WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia.
I cannot think of too many contenders who could challenge him. Brock Lesnar has had several attempts and quiet frankly the fans are bored of seeing him face Roman.
The only person I could think of is Cody still. The build-up has already started for next year. Cody is going to give a promo saying how he failed to achieve his dream in Los Angeles, but now Roman has awakened something new in Cody. That Roman is going to experience the full extend of what an American Nightmare entails. Cody is going to realize his dream on the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania.
Though if the impossible happens. Roman Reigns would have been one of the last true championship reign that we'll ever see in our lifetimes. Whomever is the man that defeats him would likely bring back an era where the championship gets handed off like a hot potato.
Roman has also shown why he's actually pretty good in-ring and on the mic. The only thing he needed was to turn heel. Needless to say, he is the face of the company right now. He's that top guy. Something that WWE has lacked for the longest time. Vince has managed to achieve what he desired to do with Roman and it likely wasn't his idea to turn him heel.
Now... acknowledge him!
