That's why you hear people say that soandso put over soandso in a promo, or even on commentary. The term isn't just used for matches. Wins/losses do NOT necessarily put someone over. Goldberg was not 'put over' by winning a bunch of matches without losing, for example. He was 'put over' by WCW making his undefeated streak into a storyline that everyone in the company spoke about whenever Goldberg was mentioned or seen.
Don't use wrestling insider terms when you don't even know what they mean. Keep quiet and learn.
