Whether Russo was actually practicing this or not, I always found it commendable and probably an excellent creative writing exercise as well. What are the motivations of even your most basic background characters? What drives them?
All of the old attitude era jobbers still had gimmicks. like 70 percent of the roster now is just I AM WRESTER AND WANT TO BE BEST WRESTLER and both WWE and AEW are overstaffed. How do you even fix that? Make TNA not a joke overnight?
