what were they going to do with him realistically? what belt was he going to chase? it seems like they created the speed title just for him but it's fucking sneed, who cares. there were no other flippy guys on his level for him to flip with. the NXT guys aren't ready for his level of flip. they couldn't outbid tony on ospreay. like... the US belt? maybe? but he was drafted to the wrong show. he's a talented athlete and they just had nothing for him, so it makes sense he left to go where they might have something for him. it was that or go back to japan.
