It feels like AEW fans don't really understand pro wrestling on a fundamental level and what it is. The point of pro wrestling is to sell tickets and make people watch your shows. Giving away big matches constantly is exciting short term but it's an active detriment long term.
This is why you need stories, promos and other "sports entertainment" things that even old terriitories understood.
This makes me wonder, do AEW fans even want their company to succeed and grow or are they so selfish to want it to remain relatively unknown to preserve their fetish for heatless matches that get 5 stars from Dave? Tony has extremely deep pockets but he can't fund a failure forever and AEW has yet to actually make a profit. It's a black hole of money.
