Honestly, folks just need to take a step back and cool off.
I had to a few nights ago. I spent a good two, three days setting up something where Ash would've run in on the Holly ambush to even the odds only to be forced to scrap and retcon all of it. At the time, it really irritated me. It felt like powergaming, where in two posts someone ripped away any opportunity or outside agency, even if the means were pre-established. I just chalked it up to an explicit desire to not want Ash involved.
But it's a roleplay. It's not a big deal. I focused on what I *could* do and moved from there. I'm over it- and it was great chatacter development for Holly in the end.
I'll improvise, no matter what, because it's not that serious and that's what you gotta do sometimes. But the efforts should always be to create a good product, a compelling collaboration. That's the whole point of RP. Lots of anons are willing to make sacrifices for the sake of a better angle- Hell, someone just injured a Main Event Heel just to make the IC angle simple and more streamlined.
And there are two who only do "sometimes". And they're fighting.
I don't want anyone to be kicked out or forced to quit. Just take it a little less seriously.
They're cartoon girls.
