Their ppvs have the name recognition of an NXT Takeover, the length of a 2018 Wrestlemania, the crowd size of 2000 episode of Nitro and the builds of Russo Era TNA. They are the amalgamation of every other companies weakest point, and the one thing that should save them, match quality, is such a fucking joke. The "Hey let's pair a lucha guy with an ex fed guy, who cares if they've never touched before, it's a dream match" formula is broken. It just leads to botches. Everything about AEW in 2023 is a study in why challenge brands fail.
