>>10138536Shogun returns to the villa, head still held high despite the defeat. Still so many stratagems to work out, a future clear cut.
>We're back! A defeat, I'm afraid, but we're just getting started. Skelly-san, how are things--Skelly Skelly is in tears. A violently twitching Keron Croakie tosses and turns, despite previous weakness.
>...The villa's medical professionals explain that she has amnesia. No memory of her name. No memory of Skelly. No memory of what happened to her. Shogun walks over to the bed and lightly squeezes the girl's hand.
Keron Croakie was the entire reason she was even here to begin with. The reason she didn't *completely* humiliate herself during the 4v4 and outlasted Holly Hope-Again was because, on a whim, she decided to stumble into a bar. And this girl took a chance on her and just wanted a friend.
ALL she wanted was friends.
Why?
It had to be the Angels, right? An explosion, conveniently through Amy's van...a bat to add insult to injury lodged into the door. She reaches into her pocket and grabs Keron Croakie's last held item: the "prototype" Stellar Stars armband that Amy Flame had carried around and made a mockery of.
Just one call away from a "date" with her...but the thought of the Angels right now just made her sick. She put it back in her pocket.
>Keron-san...I'm sorry. At some point, if you make it out of this...if you remember us...>I owe you so much.No more failure. There was no room for it. The Divine Angels had to be cut to ribbons, one way or another. They couldn't keep getting away with hurting everyone she cared about. They couldn't.
...they couldn't...
She looks deep, DEEP inside herself to keep it together for Skelly-san's sake.
>(Turn to the gods, Ai. They are watching. They are with you.)
