I've always felt Muta was overrated, his work in America in the 80s and early 90s was top notch, but he was working with the goats. His Japanese stuff always left something to be desired, but when you look at his peers he really did give it all to the industry. He ultimately failed but he tried for decades to build the next generation's talent, be it All Japan, Wrestle 1 or eventually NOAH. He might have had Masao Inoue's skill level, but he had Misawa's work ethic.
