Yes Val had fallen way down the card by around 2003, but it's flat out wrong to act like he was just some low card nobody.

So yes, it was believable that Val could come in and beat Daniels. Daniels wasn't even hurt by it and Val was gone by the end of the year. It wasn't a squash either. They had a 10 minute match. Get the fuck over it.
