>>12137457>>12137500It's been mixed in that regard. Soho lost viewers, but that was due to the botchness of that match. What the numbers do tell us is that Hikaru Shida is one of the few reliable draws the company has, her segments either retain, grow in demos or viewership, or increase both viewership and demos. If they do drop it's usually by small amounts and there is usually another factor at play. I can't help by wonder what would happen if she and the division on the whole were better booked - or at least consistent, you know, build towards things, have background stories shimmering in the background etc. The Julia Hart/Skye Blue angle is very welcome and if there is a way they can have that angle move in and out of different people while retaining key focus on Statlander and the TBS championship (the goal) then the women will be in a much stronger position. While I'm not keen on Storm and Shida (though an actual PPV match with Shida and Storm, where both women can go full throttle? Yes please!) If they have a good follow-through and consistent (yes, that word again) booking then I think the WD will be better for it. So here is my question to all of you - if the TBS scene is currently: Statlander, Skye Blue, Willow, Keria Hogan, and Julia Hart, what should the women's main championship scene be? For my money, for the moment, it should be Hikaru Shida, Jamie Hayter (when she returns), Toni Storm (she can float between the scenes), Riho (be nice to see her again), Thunder Rosa (has history with Shida and could be a strong heel), and Athena (bring her up and let her stretch out on Dynamite). The other women can have their segments too, maybe some nice tagteam/group action - maybe a weird friendship between Nyla Rose and Abadon, or Bunny and Penelope Ford adopting Abadon, or Anna Jay crossing Taya. Some are just thoughts.
