His reign has objectively been total dogshit. No important or memorable feuds or matches, and he's basically a role player for the Roman storyline that's been the focus of the show for years now. Also I fucking hate his matches. They're so godamn try hard, and fake "epic" and it's basically Cody jerking himself off and having some weird combination match of modern day indie shit and 80s Hulk Hogan style babyface. His matches are fucking terrible.

Shawn Michaels in 97 is the most overrated wrestler of all time on this board. I've seen hundreds of posts saying Shawn in 97 was the peak of any wrestlers career. I've watched the entirety of 97 Raw and PPVs over the past months and Id like anyone to explain why.
He skips out on over half the year, literally has one match from January to August. His promos are good until DX starts where he acts like an edgy 12 year old instead of a 30 year old man. I always thought DX reformations being so cringe was because both guys were in their 40s and had to be PG, but it's straight up cringe from the start. He has less than 10 matches the entire year and most of them are nothing special besides HiaC. He has a good match with Austin, an ok match with Shamrock and of course the screwjob. Everything else is Raw matches and every match but HiaC also ends with a DQ or count out of something because he refuses to take a pinfall loss the entire year.
Please stop perpetuating the myth 97 Shawn was an all time run
