Wrestling is no longer being gatekept from people who would make mockeries or jokes out of the industry. At one point, you had to be at most 300 pounds.
The lifestyle has changed as well. Wrestling used to be a last ditch safetynet for those who would likely be in jail had it nto been for the industry.
On top of that, everythings been sanitized and neutered. You cna' tcan't have compelling characters or charismatic wrestlers cut loose on the mic or say things that would offend anybody. You can't have any sort of bullying story and that nerfs promos. Feuds boil down to "You bad, I'm good, we fight." Organic, charismatic characters aren't allowedd to get themselves over without the corporpate approval and with some stars leaving for Hollywood and taking the personas they cultivated in the business with them as a stepping stone for success, the brand became more important than anything. Can't have athletes preferring the old WCW world title, let's stick a big WWE logo in the middle.
Women can't wrestle and they never fucking could . Tits and ass equal ratings not fumbling around going through spots with no rhyme or reasons and tumble through shit with literally no impact.
I don't think wrestling is ever going to truly die, its going to morph into something else soon or at the very least, go to sleep like horror movies do.
