>>16979865Went back and watched a bunch of matches from the past year due to me missing so much of it. I particularly spent a lot of time watching IYO's matches and goddamn is she good. I also watched the 2024 Wargames matches for both the men and women and it was pretty fun. The women had a lot fun spots and utilized the chaos of the match very well. The trash can, the surprise appearance of the briefcase, IYO spraying the fire extinguisher like a cute tard, etc. A slow burn, but once 4/5 of each team were in there, it was actually enjoyable. A lot better than I was expecting (but holy fuck Nia is so goddamn bad). The men's was pretty cool, too. Solid story told for Roman's side with Punk eventually getting his respect and everyone uniting. Really neat seeing the individuals shine in contrast to Solo's homogenized, looney coconut squad. Memorable spots, good timing on character reactions, surprisingly solid camera angles throughout.
Honestly surprised to hear people didn't really like these matches here, but it's /pw/, so that might be a part of it.
