Why does the fed ever release actively injured wrestlers, do they have insurance out on the contracts like MLB teams do or something?
if you don't know, MLB (maybe other sports, but I know MLB) will typically take out insurance policies that pay x% of a player's salary if he is injured for my than y straight days so a lot of the greedier owners will sign injury prone players knowing they will get most of the money back and that way they can lie and pretend they have higher payrolls than they do. Like the wilpons, the former mets owners, did this after their buddy maddof got caught so they no longer had access to his ponzi scheme they knew about and were helping him operate illegally so they would often have like over $100 milly in money tied up on guys who would never play but would get the majority of it back on the insurance deals so they were only eating like $30 milly of that money but they felt it was worth it to not get called out for not spending
