>>16467795I've never had a cat due to allergies, so I'm not sure how different it feels, but I've had 2 dogs I raised since a puppy die in my arms. It's going to take a while to get used to it once it really sets in, and waking up without him there will hurt, but it will pass. Reminding myself that they were always happy to see me, lived great lives full of walks and swimming, and would have never wanted me to be sad helped me accept that they were gone.
