Cody Rhodes: "So, Little Rock, what do you want to talk about? I want to talk about Brock Lesnar and how I'm going to take him down at Backlash. I'm going to show the world that I'm just as tough as he is, if not tougher. I'm--"
Adam Pierce's music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.
Adam Pierce: "Hold on, Cody. I hate to interrupt your speech, but I have some bad news. Due to your recent injuries, you're not medically cleared to compete at Backlash. I'm sorry, but I have to ask you to leave the ring."
Cody Rhodes: "What? That's ridiculous! I feel perfectly fine, and I'm more than capable of competing. You can't just--"
Adam Pierce: "I'm sorry, Cody, but my hands are tied. The medical team has made the decision, and I have to respect it. Now, please leave the ring."
Cody Rhodes: "No, I'm not leaving. I demand to be heard. You can't just shut me down like this. I've worked too hard to let this opportunity slip away."
Adam Pierce: "I understand how you feel, Cody, but you have to think about your health first. It's not worth risking your career over one match. Please, just leave the ring and we can discuss this further backstage."
Cody Rhodes: "Fine, I'll leave. But I'm not happy about this."
Cody Rhodes pretends to leave the ring, but then turns around and charges towards Adam Pierce. Security comes in and pulls Cody away from Adam Pierce, trying to calm him down.
Adam Pierce: "That's enough, Cody. This is not the way to handle this situation. Please, just leave and we can talk about this later."
Cody Rhodes: "No, I'm not leaving. I want Brock Lesnar in that ring, and I want him now. I'm not going to let him get away with this."
Security tries to encourage Cody to leave, but he continues to resist.
Adam Pierce: "Fine, if that's how you want to play it. I'll have to call more security to escort you out of the arena. Please, just leave peacefully."
Cody Rhodes eventually leaves the ring, still visibly upset and frustrated.
