But before Choshu got the book in the late 80s, it was still very much an "old man" show with the focus still centered around Fujinami and Inoki, Sakaguchi, etc. He booked the Three Musketeers as being the young guys rebelling against the elder statesmen (he himself would play the elder statesmen against Hashimoto, putting him over at the Tokyo Dome in webm related).
But it was exactly how Choshu himself got over in the 80s. He believed in pushing young talent and he's the reason why Mutoh, Hashimoto, and Chono are what they became.
