AEW was great but the bloom is off the rose. They tried and had a good run but lets not pretend its the same show. It's become WWE lite now and the hot product that injected life into pro wrestling is gone with this company

This thread should be a sticky. It's the second time where a non-WWE promotion worked a stadium live event. AEW has its issues especially with TV but their PPVs are always a fun watch

It no longer has an identity. AEW use to be the alternative to WWE cause WWE was absolute dogshit when Vince was literally changing the script every week. AEW was the counter product. Worked for 2 years then Covid killed the momentum and afterwards WWE got hot with the bloodline and Sami Zayne and AEW never really recovered. Now its not even the counter product its just a glorified indy that doesn't feel like it has many stakes.

>Too many titles
>No real main event stars
>Shows feel like a disconnected singular show every week they do not lead into next weeks show
>Acquired all the New Japan talent so no more big surprises other than "who's" from CMLL/AAA

I don't want AEW to die off but its honestly no longer a necessity when WWE has been doing well

AEW has a ceiling unfortunately look at Jade and Cody where they were. They were popular but they weren't viewed as larger than life stars. Now since moving to WWE they are seen by a much larger fan base that reaches over internationally. Honestly believe is AEW became a launching pad for WWE it would be beneficial to both companies. Get unknown wrestlers to AEW, feature them, shine them up and then let them reach a wider fan base with WWE
