The only guys with actual martial arts experience in the Brawl For All were Mero, Blackman and Severn - Blackman beat Mero but dropped out afterwards due to injury, Severn won his round but realized this wasn't worth shit and dropped out, and 3-time NY Golden Gloves winner Mero got fucking beaten by JBL.
Bart got sidelined for months after winning the Brawl for All, only to be booked to fight Butterbean, get heemed and get released. Punk literally saw UFC as a legit way to keep his momentum after wrestling going, only for it to fall flat on his face and make him look like a real dork. Because unlike Bart, Punk really wanted to go into that business and was confident and arrogant about it.
Also, Bart proved he's legit tough. Punk has never proven he's legit tough.
