AEW was popular and well loved simply because it was NOT the WWE, and had unlimited money to sign wrestlers and TV deals. Now that the honeymoon period is over, and WWE being the best it’s been in years, people really don’t care about the dub anymore. It’s an edgy teenagers idea of a “sick promotion.”
People want wrestling with stakes. They want a good guy to root for and a bad guy to hate. They want to see brutes beating each other up, not skinny faggots flipping around the ring. They want to suspend their disbelief. They want a reason to tune in every week. AEW offers none of this. And I’m just a casual wrestling fan, I used to like AEW but it just fucking sucks now. There’s no soul.
