That was the hottest angle in pro wrestling at the time and one of the hottest in wrestling history.
BTW, Savage was 41 when he became a color commentator. He left for WCW about a year later and still drew mega dimes for them and was a cultural icon for Slim Jim all the way through the early 2000s.
