This doesn't help your champs or the ones that go over. What the fuck does Danielson gain from beating up a bitch that can't defend against a cripple? It's the job of AEW to build up these guests so they can actually believably win and allow it to happen because this whole industry is build on feuds, rematches and revenge angles.
Maybe Bryan was high on adrenaline, didn't know it was broken, and though the match looked good but it didn't - that's for the production to intervene in and throw whatever the fuck the follow up plan was out the window - let Okada win, disappoint the audience with a double count out because they were too busy brawling on the floor if you have to, there's 4 hours of this show give or take and it can handle a non decisive match to build up future events.
