>>17748606I've said this before, but Rossy is basically like jap Heyman. Shady, but not a creep or pedo or whatever
>starts as AJW ringside photographer>gets into AJW circle by taking pictures for them for magazines>somehow gets into the office, becomes Crush Gals' driver/"manager">joins AJW PR department, was NEVER booker for AJW>ARSION split happens (exodus plotted by Rossy), Rossy fucks over Aja after promising her she'd be head booker>Rossy pushes super green Ayako Hamada to the top of the company, which could be seen as his first attempt to get a super idol-esque wrestler to the top>ARSION goes out of business after a trial where Rossy is convicted of misconduct and forced to pay Aja compensation>Rossy kind of disappears for a bit, tries AtoZ, tries Jd'>finally creates Stardom with Nanae and Natsuki Taiyo, which is his fully realized vision of an idol wrestling company>This leads to more backstage drama due to booking and favoritism, which culminates in the well known Act/Yoshiko shoot>Rossy is able to keep Stardom afloat in the aftermath long enough to sell it to Bushiroad>sticks around for a bit, but when he realizes he doesn't have enough power anymore, he stages another exodus and forms MARIGOLDNotice how none of this includes any creepy misconduct or other sexual allegations. The general idea is that Rossy was a standard otaku before he got into the biz, but no one truly knows. Certainly he's not gonna downplay his contributions to the scene in interviews, he's one of the few prominent Zenjo office guys still around after all, but generally it's widely known in the scene that he had nothing to do with the booking or success of AJW. For what it's worth, Rossy's "positive" reputation as a great booker in the west is also overblown. Rossy himself is a longtime WON subscriber and very in touch with the western scene. He got the AJW office to embrace home video because of WWF's coliseum video success. Meltzer likes blowing smoke up his ass.
