The Shieldetties proved to be completely useless as faces. Bryan and Punk are always the Edge/HHH tweener-types, those don't really fit as the dudes you put on t-shirts or make them do Make a Wish. You could have the greatest heels ever, but it doesn't mean jack shit if you don't have a face to rally behind. This used to be Cena for awhile until the crowd turned on him 2010-2014, which is exactly when making this sort of promo would've made genuine sense.
Honestly, it should've been Punk vs Cody and Cena and Rock need to fuck off both. And I'm not even a Philfag, a better storyline would've been sold instead of a part-timer coming back and selling out for... what exactly? What does Cena actually gain? Maybe its ambition to retire to be the one breaking Ric Flair's record, okay, but we didn't get any of that shit actually explained to us.
Rock being involved at all makes 0 sense too. A corporate authority figure like Vince or Authority era HHH works when that authority figure is actually on-screen and seen making decisions.
