I am definitely a fan of the Ruthless Aggression era and have gotten sort of tired of pretending it isn't relevant because Jim Cornette was banging his fat wife instead of watching wrestling. Some of the best matches are in the post Austin heel turn/brand split era and especially early on, you got a real good balance of quality wrestling and storylines/goofy shit and sex appeal. Paul Heyman had SmackDown running like a bootleg of ECW, channeling the ghost of Vince Russo, who they tried to rehire around the same time.
