The people who keep getting put into these $100k matches are NOT people making the kind of money where that's just a whatever little bonus Ion their salary. These are all people who are pretty low down the card, who l'd be surprised to find out are even making six figures annually at all, and even if they are, it's barely.
So to be put into these matches by your billionaire boss who's treating $100k like it's just this little bonus you can randomly tack onto your annual earnings, you're telling the world that they're making millions... if you're paying people for real the amount of money that you're painting out to be just a little bonus for their TV characters... thats fucked, and none of these people are at a level where it would make sense for them to speak up and say it's fucked.
The closest has been Queen Aminata tweeting that when she wins she's gonna give all of it to a specific charitable cause, which felt like a backhanded way of calling out that the person who pays and books her is actively choosing not to book her to win and give that money to charity.
It's literally just a matter of time before someone booked into one of these matches good off about it on social media in a quickly deleted post. It is the biggest, in your face example that you're being paid pennies in the eyes of the person paying you when they are outright saying that they want the perception to be that you're being paid much, much, much more money than they're actually paying you.
It doesn't matter that they're stage actors. They're stage actors not in a position where they can complain being put into a spot by the person paying them to look like they're being paid way more than they really are. That's fucked.
