WWE's Iyo Sky (Io Shirai) will challenge RAW Women's Champion Bianca Belair at the next PLE 'Backlash' (6 May/7 May in San Juan, Puerto Rico).
She won a triple-threat style challenger's match two weeks ago on Raw to challenge Bianca for the first time. No date had been set for the title fight, but they will clash in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. This week at Lowe's (Chicago, Illinois), Bianca was seen being interviewed, along with Bailey and Dakota Kai from the unit Damage CTRL. When leader Bailey challenged Bianca, Iyo said in Japanese: 'Anyway, your fucking boring defence road, I'll end it as soon as possible. Now, let me do it" and demanded a title fight on this day. However, Bailey suggested a six-man tag-team match between Damage CTRL and Bianca's Army for some reason, saying that "the three of us are in the mood to beat you". In the end, Bianca accepted. However, Iyo, who wanted a one-on-one match, was not convinced and there was a delicate atmosphere.
In a six-man tag team match, Damage CTRL clashed with the spectacular trio of Raw Women's Champion Bianca and WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The champions struggled before the trio's coordinated attack, but Iyo turned the tide with a sliding kick to Liv as she ran on the apron.
He then followed Bailey's running knee with a double knee to Liv. A crossface clinched it, and Raquel in the corner was hit with a palm uppercut. From outside the arena, he pulled Bianca off her feet in the corner and slammed her into the steel steps in a rampage.
However, the trio of champions were not half bad, and even their combined attacks did not give away the pace. Iyo hit Raquel with a swan dive missile kick, but Bianca slammed her into the corner post. In the end, Bailey took Bianca's KOD (variant facebuster) and lost the fall.
