I see people here praise Bret for his honesty, if nothing else. They have mixed opinions about how good he was as a wrestler, the Montreal Screwjob, and how he’s spent the last ten years basically seething and whether it’s justified or not. But one thing everyone agrees on is that Bret has lost all fucks to give and is just being completely and absolutely honest in his interviews. I saw a short the other day where he was shooting even on Martha, Owen’s widowed wife, and calling her a cunt for basically erasing Owen from history to fuel her own ego. Every retired wrestler desperately tries to preserve their image, even if most of them will never wrestle again and in some cases aren’t even under any contract. Even Hulk Hogan keeps up this facade in every interview he goes where he’s very selective about who or what he shoots on and even then he’ll maintain some sort of “oh, he was a great draw and a great guy, but the brother was so…” meanwhile Bret doesn’t hold a single thing back and just fucking eviscerates whoever he’s shooting on.
He’s completely run out of shits to give and is just shooting without holding anything back. You have to respect that
