Nikki's lips curl into a sly grin. "No, Croakie, we haven't met. But better late than never, right?"
Nikki follows Croakie. She seems far too innocent to have an ulterior motive, and like the voice said, Skelly would surely be involved if it were a trap. But just in case... she reaches into a jacket pocket and confirms the presence of a familiar memento of her ill fated trip to Skelly's villa. Her smile deepens.
