>One Year Since My Pro Wrestling Debut – Uta Takami
>It has been one year since my pro wrestling debut! Thank you for the first-anniversary gifts! I could feel how much time and effort you put into preparing them just for me, and that made me really happy. Thank you, always!
>I’ve had so many matches in just one year! Each and every match has led me to where I am now, and they’re all precious to me. (For the matches that were decided on the day of the event after submitting the order sheet, and the ones from the bus tour, there aren’t official match cards, so I wrote them down myself! The black ones!)
>Now that it's been a year since my debut, I can confidently say that I truly enjoy pro wrestling! Of course, there are times during matches when things don’t go as planned, or when I can’t move the way I want to, and that frustration fuels me even more. That’s why, when I feel like I’ve done well, or when I get strong reactions from the audience, the sense of accomplishment is huge, and it makes me so happy. When I first debuted, there were so many things I couldn’t do, and honestly, I couldn’t even imagine where I’d be a year later—I was full of uncertainty. But now, one year later, I’m having so much fun wrestling, and my dreams for myself have grown even bigger.
>A pro wrestler is someone who can inspire and empower those who watch them. At the same time, no matter how careful you are, you never know when you might get injured—it’s that kind of profession. I wonder how my parents felt when their daughter said she wanted to be a pro wrestler. They were strongly against it, but I don’t think they ever clearly told me exactly why. Since my parents grew up in a time when wrestling was all over TV, I’m sure they just didn’t want me doing something so dangerous. Especially my dad—he’s a wrestling fan, so I can only imagine how uneasy he felt about his own daughter stepping into the ring.
