Anecdote from last night:
I had two normie friends who have basically never watched wrestling in their life came over to chill and watch it in the background, mainly for The Rock (we are all 30 btw for reference). I gave them a breakdown of the familial ties in the match and what not. When he was about to do the peoples elbow I was like, "oh he's about to do the people's elbow" and my friends laughed at the name of the move because they just found the amount of crowd work in wrestling endearing and understood why it was called that (I told them that The Rock has usually been a 'good guy' earlier). Anyway, when he did it, he modified it to a heel version obviously and I noticed that and mentioned that his taunt was completely different. After the show finished, I showed them on youtube what it normally looks like, and they laughed and dubbed the one he did last night the "Evil People's Elbow". They really liked that move, they loved how he looks directly into the hardcam while he does it. Thank you for reading my blog.
