>Women’s pro wrestling group “Marigold”’s MIRAI (25) announced she will leave the promotion after the October 13 Korakuen Hall event in Tokyo.
>At the September 20 Shinkiba 1st RING show, she teamed with World Champion Hayashishita Utami against Aono Miku & Sakurai Mai. When MIRAI squared off with Sakurai, they engaged in a fierce back-and-forth exchange. After trading elbows, MIRAI delivered a superplex brainbuster that slammed Sakurai to the mat.
>With less than two minutes remaining, the match heated up even further. After taking a Glorious Driver from Sakurai, MIRAI fought back with a backdrop. The bout ended when both hit elbows simultaneously and the bell rang for a 15-minute time-limit draw.
>After the match, MIRAI took the mic: “What an amazing lineup! Two singles champions, and congratulations to Aono Miku for winning the Dream Star GP… I entered the recent Dream Star with resolve, but I couldn’t get results. I faced myself one more time and found the answer. On October 13, MIRAI will leave Marigold!” She shocked the crowd with her announcement.
>MIRAI entered KAIENTAI DOJO in April 2018. In April 2019 she transferred to Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, debuting the following May under the ring name Maiumi Mirai. In January 2022 she moved to Stardom, where she won the “Cinderella Tournament” twice in a row and captured the Wonder Championship in July 2023. After leaving Stardom in March 2024, she joined Marigold’s launch, where she, alongside Sakurai, captured the Twin Star Championship and helped drive the promotion as a central figure.
