Fans and WWE itself never paid attention that Undertaker was undefeated at WM since a lot of Wrestlers are and were. Its just by that time Taker wad old as fuck and been in longer then anyone else and WWE decided to act like the Undefeated streak was a thing all along when it wasn't.
Having Taker all of a sudden take on this undefeated persona was pulled out of WWEs ass to give the match up a Big and more authentic Sports feel as Brock was just coming back from the UFC and normies needed something to wrap their head around.
