>Sareee: Stardom will make a full-scale invasion in 2025! President Okada promises to win the IWGP title: "MVP is also qualified to challenge"
>The next target is... Saree (28), who won the Women's Pro Wrestling Grand Prize for the first time at the "Tokyo Sports Newspaper 2024 Pro Wrestling Grand Prize supported by Nitan Clinic", has set her sights on the IWGP Women's Championship again. Inspired by the sight of the champion Mayu Iwatani (31) holding the belt, she declared war on Stardom's president Taro Okada (37). Following last year's Marigold, she aims to make a full-scale invasion of the Stardom mat in 2025.
>For Sareee, 2025 got off to the worst possible start. On the 3rd, she lost to Utami Hayashishita at the Marigold Ota Ward tournament, losing the world title she had held since July of last year. Still, she was able to quickly move on, saying, "I lost the crimson belt, but I don't think of it as a negative thing. Of course, I wanted to go into 2025 with that belt, so it's really frustrating, but there are other belts I want too."
>It all started when he participated as an award winner at the Pro Wrestling Grand Prix ceremony on the 8th. "I finally made it here. I was so overwhelmed with emotion that I nearly cried. I was also inspired by being able to stand on the same stage as all those amazing wrestlers," he recalled.
>What moved me the most was seeing Iwatani receiving the Topic Award. In contrast to Saree's red long-sleeved kimono, Iwatani entered the ring in a white long-sleeved kimono, with the gold IWGP women's belt shining on her shoulder. It was the belt she was unable to win at Stardom's Yokohama event on April 27th last year. "I had some thoughts about Iwatani Mayu. I swore to myself that this year I would definitely wear that belt around my waist. IWGP is a given!" she said, firming up her resolve.
