That's the best way to describe Cole. He's fucking soulless because that's the way Vince wanted him. He became the guy because he took Vince's directions the most, and Cole himself says Vince was always in his ear micromanaging him. Unfortunately, when you're taking cornball direction for your entire career, the stink kind of sticks to you. Now, even that he's more off the cuff, he still has that soulless Joe Buck feel. He doesn't feel like a genuine fan. He feels like a guy doing a job, and your commentator, your main guy, should always sound like a fan and have genuine enthusiasm for what he's seeing if at all fucking possible.
