>>13110837Don't know what kind of books you're reading, but most fiction targeted at males idealizes virtues like valor, honor, integrity, ambition, determination, etc. Anything like you're describing isn't in there to fetishize masochism or sadism, but as an obstacle for the man to overcome and conquer. Male fiction is about overcoming adversity, realizing ambition and achieving goals; female fiction is about getting raped. They're not the same, and your pseudointellectual comparison is completely nonsensical.
