When Rick Steiner legit almost killed him by breaking his neck with a botched bulldog, he had legit potential to return as a top babyface. Check out his return at the Georgia Dome Nitro, the crowd went apeshit for his comeback interview. WCW immediately squandered it by turning him heel and putting him back in the same spot he started in. His work in WCW from 99 to it's closure was pretty bad. He was off his head on drugs, got arrested for attacking a stagehand and got his ass kick when he started a fight with Ernest Miller.
