I wish I could get into AEW cause some of this stuff does look pretty kino, I just can't bring myself to suspend my disbelief to where I can buy wrestlers performing in front of 1000 people and acting like it's some big epic storyline. Same reason I could never get into TNA. I watched Lucha Underground since the presentation was so different it made sense, it had an underground fight club type of feel, and I still watch NJPW, which has the benefit of feeling like it's in its own universe distinct from western wrestling, and with a more sports-like presentation. It's just the American promotions, where they still inexplicably use WWE-style storylines with all the reverence and grandiosity despite being set in bingo halls, or in AEW's case large arenas with a bingo hall's worth of people, that I just can't take seriously enough to get invested in.
