>>11827521Bottom line is SIZE MATTERS. Like it or not, it always has & it always will. There is a reason why WWE has always been known as a big man's territory. Muscles & size is what the WWE was built on.
In all sports the HEAVYWEIGHT fight is always the BIG DRAW, yes there has been some exceptions, but historically the HEAVYWEIGHT fight has always been the BIG DRAW. Why? because people want to see people who are LARGER THAN LIFE. The same rule applies Hollywood e.g. CGI is used to make superhero's into impressive physical specimens.
Bigger isn’t always better. But it’s definitely the way to bet. Bigger has always sold. There were very few territories back in the day where size didn't matter in terms of pushing guys as number one. Size in this business is always going to matter & anybody doesn't believe this doesn't understand the history of the business.
"Vince never looked at Kurt the way he looked at me. Kurt had that Olympic Gold Medal, but Vince and HHH didn’t see an Olympic Champion. They only saw a five-foot nine-inch guy in tights. In their minds, fans pay to see the huge guys perform. Kurt could never be “bigger than life.” It didn’t matter how good he was in the ring, Kurt just wasn’t tall enough or big enough to be Vince McMahon’s top guy for any length of time." - Brock Lesnar (Death Clutch with Paul Heyman)
