Leppan said in an interview he was pitching a bounty hunter gimmick. his FCW/early NXT gimmick was already some type of modernized Tarzan, so he basically tried to be Kraven. they ditched it and said he is just not a natural heel so they came up with Adam Rose, and eventually turned Adam Rose heel, showing how fucking retarded the creatives are. He was also juicing hard and they told him to lose weight for the gimmick which he didnt like, this is how he looked after going back to the indies before he retired in 2019
