He then, in RAW. had a match with The Miz. A match that was as lackluster as expected, so people didn't pay much attention. The Miz has made a career out of treading water.
In Wrestlemania Backlash, the next Premium Live Event, Cody had a rematch with Seth Rollins. With the justification that the American Nightmare had an unfair advantage over his opponent. Because in Wrestlemania Seth didn't know who his opponent would be, he couldn't prepare properly.
Even with preparation, Cody still won a hard fought rematch..
After having a big winning streak of three whole matches, Cody was able to challenge the current US champion, Theory.
The referee ruled that match a no contest, because The Architect attacked Cody Rhodes during the match. Cody Rhodes technically won by DQ.
Cody Rhodes is still our favourite midcarder. But maybe not for long. Roman Reigns, the current WWE Heavyweight Champion and WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion is planning on leaving the company in June, leaving his spot to whoever deserves it best.
