With WWE firmly set on the PG "Be A Star" equal time for women's wrestling thing and just riding on cruise control, it seems like if AEW really wanted to differentiate itself and take a risk to try growing its audience it would embrace actual edginess in 2024, and that doesn't mean flippy bangers For The Sickos© or *somehow even more* hokey and obviously phony backstage & post-match beatdowns, which seem to be the only things they're able or willing to put on their godawful television. Poor imitations of what everyone's already seen on wrestling programs for generations hasn't worked, time to turn up the heat, get offensive, get political, get a fucking clue, and maybe they'll get some new viewers.
