>As an eighth grader, Tony was passionate about sports. Early in his first semester at Uni he signed on with Subbie Boys Basketball coach Rick Murphy to assist the team as a manager. Soon after, he ventured down the street to Kenney Gym and concluded the high school basketball season on the bench. As years passed, Tony's duties and responsibilites increased to the point during his senior year where he was the Head Coach in a game at Kenney Gym when the head coach was ill. On January 11, 2001 the Khan led Illineks Uni jumped out to a 20-2 first quarter lead and never looked back as Uni was victorious 63-20.
