Whether it's through his sheer hypocrisy, the fact that he scored a big fat contract - despite his years of being a passive-aggressive little bitch and trying to go crawling back to the WWE - there are plenty of reasons for the hate.
Consider what's happened. Adam Page was the first completely AEW original to win the championship. By AEW original, I mean someone with zero ties to WWE (Jericho and Moxley are also AEW originals as they were day from day 1 and used their star power to help the company grow and expand, but they also have long histories with WWE).
And what happens? Page's reign is cut short (I think he's the shortest Heavy Weight Champion - you know before Phil KWAB'd himself) by Phil, an ignorant, opinionated twat, who talks about "helping the new guys" only to bury them or complete kill their momentum - Poor Darby.
And that's my chief reason for hating him. Now, if he kept his misinformed opinions to himself, wasn't a massive Cunt, and actually helped grow the AEW, I wouldn't have any problems with him. But he doesn't, he is, and he hasn't.
So fuck him. It's too bad he didn't Droz himself.
