>Dream Gate Champion Kikuta and Anzai clashed again for the first time in a while. Kikuta declared, “Come to this ring anytime. I’ll be your opponent,” to which Anzai responded, “I’ll carry All Japan Pro Wrestling on my back and come right for you. Just wait.”
>Event producer and TV personality Miyane Seiji, serving as GM, had prepared Anzai as Homare’s partner. The announcement was made during Miyane’s show *Jōhō Live Miyaneya* with Homare present. Their opponents: Dream Gate Champion Kikuta and Triangle Gate Champion Kato, forming a reigning champion tag from Gaikotsu.
>Even before the bell, Homare and Anzai bristled with rivalry, unwilling to yield their “ikemen” aura. Anzai strung together dropkicks to gain momentum, only for Homare to jump in as if not to be outdone. Soon after, however, Homare absorbed a concentrated attack and spent a long stretch on the defensive.
>They fought back with a front suplex relay, throwing Kikuta in succession. Anzai pressed the attack with a corner jumping elbow and a double-arm suplex. He then went blow-for-blow with Kikuta in a heated elbow battle.
>Kikuta pulled ahead with a crushing chop, but Homare jumped in to help, finally uniting with Anzai. Together they hit a sequence: Anzai’s elbow, Homare’s thrust kick, Anzai’s jumping knee, and Homare’s standing Stardust Press.
>When Homare’s Firebird attempt failed, Anzai launched Kikuta with a German suplex, but Kikuta dodged a jumping knee and knocked Anzai down with a hip attack. Homare kept fighting with thrust kicks, but Kikuta cut him off with a short-range lariat. He then nailed a hip bomb and a rolling lariat for the decisive three-count.
