>>13154908I don't know if I dare draw that clear lines with my opinions yet, but I agree that Fujita's been built fucking INCREDIBLY. That being said I don't think the comparison is entirely fair, because we've seen Fujita's entire journey since his debut in NJPW. All the other Young Lions left on excursions, and even if you followed their every match while they were away, they weren't booked by NJPW for that period. All NJPW can do from that point is take what they were given and try to use it for a story back on home turf. They've been able to steer Fujita the entire time and build him up for NJPW's audience, which goes a long way. Not to mention how much of an advantage it is to not leave the NJPW audience for years where only a fraction will follow you for the excursion.
